We have been in business since 1994.
Combined, we can offer more than 90 years of experience in the area of
sewer repair: construction, manufacture and application.
Thomas Joachim, partner and technical Director of the company, was dealing with the development and construction of off-shore submarines, that required underwater cameras and gripping arms for a depth of up to 500 m between 1980 and 1993. Rather than inspecting underwater pipelines, his next challenge was inspecting the inside of a sewer pipe. The step from the deep seas below the earth was a logical step into a quickly developing industry with growing tasks and a demand of state of the art devices.
Thomas Joachim and Bernd Sennert assembled a team of motivated specialists with a lifetime of experience to found JS Kanalrobotik.
"We were fascinated by the idea of developing devices able to efficiently perform underground repairs without having to excavate /dig up the ground. We wanted to provide sewer contractors with tools that enable reliable cost effective repairs."
The JS Kanalrobotik team knows most of the sewer robots available on the market inside and out. Thus, they know about the strengths and weaknesses of the different systems and devices on the market.
Due to the self-control ordinance, the domestic connection area has become more and more important, however, we believe that there were no sufficiently satisfactory systems available.
Therefore, we started to research, design, develop and build.
We filed patents for basic innovative improvements. Our developments were created from practical demand and operational requirements. We were able to implement ideas and requirements into technology where others had previously failed.
